2006 Singlehanded Transpacific Race

                San Francisco to Hanalei, Hawaii

Carroll E's track June 24-July 17.  The Pacific High forced us down south of the rhumbline.

25kts outside the Gate on course for Hawaii; or so I thought!  The winds died once past Pt. Bonita.            approaching the finish line in Hanalei

Riding the trade winds butterfly!  The twin 150% genoas were worth their weight in gold...set 'em and forget 'em.  During squalls I rolled them up to half size.

I did cut the handle off my tooth brush to reduce weight!

The Mighty Hesperus lost her rudder 200nm from the finish.  Paul's good seamanship got him to Hanalei.  Nice job Paul!
